About Me
I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, having completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London (UCL). I currently work within the NHS in London, in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), alongside clinical work with adults.
My clinical experience spans a range of mental health, neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological settings, working with children, young people and adults presenting with a broad range of psychological, emotional, behavioural and cognitive difficulties.
I have training and experience across a range of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy and trauma-informed approaches. My clinical practice is integrative, drawing on different psychological theories and evidence-based approaches to tailor assessment, formulation and intervention to the individual needs and circumstances of each person.
I have a particular clinical and academic interest in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory and psychotherapy, especially the influence of early relationships, attachment experiences and unconscious processes on emotional development, identity and interpersonal functioning. I completed a year-long specialist clinical placement with a psychodynamic focus and intend to pursue further formal training and qualifications in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
I also have a particular interest in working therapeutically with LGBTQ+ individuals, especially gay men, and in understanding the intersection between identity, relationships, emotional wellbeing and wider social and cultural experiences. I am particularly interested in how experiences of stigma, discrimination, marginalisation and minority stress may influence psychological development, self-perception and interpersonal relationships, and how these experiences can be understood and explored within an affirming, relational and psychodynamically informed therapeutic approach.
I have extensive postgraduate training in neuropsychology, including a Master's degree, alongside specialist training in neuropsychological assessment, autism assessment (including ADOS and ADI-R), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and working with individuals with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Alongside my clinical work, I have experience in psychological research, with particular interests in clinical neuropsychology, cultural diversity and equitable assessment practices. I am currently working towards publication of my doctoral thesis, which explores culturally sensitive approaches to neuropsychological assessment.
My ongoing professional interests include further developing my skills in psychodynamic psychotherapy, LGBTQ+ affirmative psychological practice and culturally responsive neuropsychological assessment, while contributing to compassionate, evidence-informed and individualised psychological care.
